Making the World Turn

It is no wonder that music makes the world go round. Be it the romantic mood or a gloomy one, music and melody not only intensify the feelings but also have a massive impact in changing a good feeling to bad one and vice versa. Without music, the world is boring, colorless, still and uninteresting for any soul - young as me or senile as anyone. We can never estimate or quantify the impact music has on us even if we tried.

And let me tell you, music just doesn’t do it for us for fun or fantasy. It does act like alcohol in a literal sense and can keep you high longer than you can imagine. In fact, it does have an analgesic and healing effect on a damaged heart and a wounded or tired mind. Wonder why we all retire to some calming, motivating and slow music after a tough day? That’s because music does help alleviate negative feelings, admit it or not.

For someone like me who takes pride in not only being so ruthlessly attached to music so much so that I make ringtones of my own, music does it all to keep me alive. And that’s not all. Music can, in fact, help you get in a good physique too. Well, we all like dancing to a good beat or have our headphones on while working out. That’s simply due to the fact that music keeps us running – which can mean staying fit for some people.

Then there are those who really use music for healing and staying motivated. Such a fabulously smart approach, I must say. For me though, music is my motivation and not something that I drive my motivation from. Whatever it may be, the beautiful arrangement of tunes one by one makes such a galaxy of music that I can almost live in it happily. Some of us do not quite know how powerful music is, but let’s face it: music controls us more than we can control that stop/play button.

Shine Bright Like A Diamond!

Yes, I am quoting the one and only Rhianna’s Diamonds which for this posts hold a double meaning.
A very good friend of mine, whom I hope to soon make my girlfriend has been obsessed with this song for quite some time. In fact, it was one of the very few first songs that she requested me to turn into a ringtone for her when I first started pursuing her and asking her out on dates.
Early on in our getting to know each other phase, I asked her why she loved the song so much. As a guy, I never really bothered to pay attention to the song since it’s obviously for chicks and to be quite honest, as diversified as my music taste goes… I’m not a very big fan.
So when she explained the lyrics of the song to me, it made me realize what an empowered type of woman she was. She always aims for the best and wishes to be happy in everything that she does. From that moment on, I started calling her my diamond.

She is involved with a Labour Organization which at first surprised me but after you got to know her it wasn't really a surprise.
I try my best to be thoughtful when it comes to gifts so after having made her that ringtone, I also did my research online and found the perfect gift for her. I found a bunch of cool candles online but the one that caught my eyes were the Diamond Candle reviews.
As I read further, I found out that these candles contained wrapped diamond rings which was really cool. Not all the rings are real but if you’re lucky enough, you could end up with a ring that costs as much as $1,000 or even more!
When I gave this special someone her gift, she was more than ecstatic. She had read about them online as well and was always thinking of buying one but she has never gotten around to actually buying one. As soon as she recognized what the package was, she swung her arms around me and planted a kiss on my cheek which was honestly a very nice gesture.
Although she didn’t get a real diamond, I could tell she was happy and that she appreciated the gesture. We’ve been going out for about 3 months now and I see her wear the diamond ring very often and the most touching part about all of this is that she openly tells her friends that the ring was from me.

Different Melodies with Common Interest

It amazes me how different and how similar people can be at the same time. I’m not sure if this make a whole lot of sense to you but the way I picture it out in my head seems very clear. I will try to explain…
Often times I feel like I have nothing in common with my friends. Take me for example, I like to make ringtones and I like to stay indoors, my friend Zach enjoys cars and going out to drink while Josh can talk on and on. Anyone who saw us together would think that we really have nothing in common which would not be surprising since even our ways of dressing are completely different! But the one thing that brings us together and makes us such great friends is our love for music.
The three of us like to get together every once in awhile to enjoy good music and have occasional jamming sessions. We can spend hours and hours just sitting down, listening to music and talking about basically anything under the sun.
We’re different but we all have a common interest that binds us together and sometimes, our differences even come in handy!
For instance, a lot of my friends ask me to make ringtones for them and I get a small fee out of this. Because of Josh’s great knowledge on technology, I often ask him for advice when it comes to programs and other stuff like that and he is always such a big help. He even likes to keep me updated on cool stuff he finds for as long as I listen to him talk about it for what oftentimes feels like hours! And Zach, with his intense knowledge for cars, has helped me when it came to choosing my car up to the maintenance and what not.
We all help each other out in one way or another and after it’s all through, we sit down, sometimes we drink and we talk and share our stories from our very different lives while playing some awesome music in the background!
It’s great that I have friends like them because it makes you realize that not everyone is what you think they are and that’s really the amazing thing about life. Sometimes it can be ironic, sometimes it can be unfair but if you think about it… it’s always magical.
